HOW TO PREPARE YOUR BOAT FOR SHIPMENT

  1. ALL ITEMS INSIDE YOUR BOAT such as galley utensils, plates, cups, fridge, etc. should be PROPERLY secured.  No Fire extinguishers or Firearms may be stored on the boat during shipment.  
  1. All ports, hatches and windows to be locked shut and secured/covered for Transport.
  1. We do not assume responsibility for canvas covers, seat cushions or tops, which remain topside ,or outside during transport.
  1. We cannot assume responsibility for missing items (Personal belongings and equipment).
  1. Fuel should be no more than ¼ full.  The US Coast Guard and DOT classifies gasoline as a flammable substance and requires less than ¼ full. Water and ALL Holding Tanks Empty
  1. Cabinet doors and drawers and all lockers inside the craft should be secured shut.
  1. Plastic or Plexiglas, fly bridge, rails, windshields, etc. should be removed and stored inside the craft.(If not we assume no responsibility)
  1. We do not assume liability for boats that are already damaged, and or rotten; wood construction or fiberglass construction, rusted pontoons, steel hulls etc.
  1. We do not assume liability for  (Boats have to be secured to trailer via straps and or chains which may cause some paint removal and or markings from straps and could damage cleats
  1. Loading and unloading the boat is the responsibility of the owner of the boat.  Owner must make their own arrangements to pay for these services. (Cranes, Lifts,Wreckers, Etc. if Needed) IF BLOCKED USING BLOCKS OR STANDS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SINKING ,ETC.ABBOTT BOAT TRANSPORT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE OCCURRED DURING LOADING OUT OF WATER OR WATER LAUNCHING (PROPS-INTAKES,ETC)
  1. We allow (1) one hour for loading and (1) one hour for off loading.  Additional time may be charged at $500.00 per hour per driver.
  1. Owner may be responsible for wreckers ,route surveys and add-on’s if necessary. Any Highway Patrol is a ADDITIONAL CHARGE
  1. Boats that are shrink wrapped prior to pick up , Abbott Boat will not be responsible for any damage under shrink as we cannot inspect prior to transport
  1. IF MILEAGE IS EXTENDED BY MORE THAN 100 MILES DUE TO CONSTRUCTION, PRICE MAY VARY
  1. ABBOTT BOAT CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE DONE TO BOATS VIA TREE LIMBS AS THERE ARE NO WAY AROUND THEM WHEN PERMITTED BY THE STATES

FLYBRIDGES, RADARS, ARCHES, WINDSHIELDS.  RAILINGS, ETC. WILL NEED/MAY NEED TO BE REMOVED IF HEIGHT IS IN EXCESS OF 14’6 WHEN LOADED

(ABBOTT BOAT TRANSPORT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LEAKS DURING TRANSPORTATION, LOADING, OR UNLOADING OF ANY BOAT, DUE TO THE HULL BEING VERY THIN.OR ALREADY DAMAGED) DAMAGE OF ANY INTAKES ETC WHILE LOADING OUT OF WATER OR LAUNCHING

(ABBOTT BOAT TRANSPORT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FINES DUE TO OVER WEIGHT, QUAGGA OR ZEBRA MUSSELS. OWNER OF BOAT WILL PAY FOR ANY FINES OR QUARANTINE DOWN TIME DUE TO MUSSELS OR OVERWEIGHT,WRECKER SERVICE IF NEEDED ON BOAT RAMPS)

 THIS AGREEMENT MUST BE SIGNED WITHIN 3 DAYS OR WILL TERMINATE AND DEPOSIT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 3 DAYS AS WELL OR AGREEMENT WILL TERMINATE. DEPOSIT NON REFUNDABLE IF AGREEMENT IS NOT FULFILLED BY SHIPPER
